Scribe Pip

Scribe Pip
Scribe Pip is the hardworking and perpetually anxious assistant to Elder Thorne in Thorne’s Library. A young Briar-Kin with glasses made from polished sea-glass, Pip is responsible for the day-to-day organization of the library’s vast collection of bark-scrolls and shipwreck artifacts. He is almost never seen without a smudge of ink on his nose and a stack of scrolls in his paws.
Pip is a brilliant student of history and linguistics. He has a natural talent for deciphering the complex codes and ancient languages found in the "surface-world" books that the Mist-Whiskers occasionally recover. While he rarely leaves the safety of the library, his mind is filled with maps and legends of the world beyond The Shrouded Boughs.
He is deeply loyal to Elder Thorne, whom he views as a grandfather figure. Despite his nervous temperament, Pip is incredibly brave when it comes to protecting the library's contents, and he has been known to physically block the path of anyone who tries to take a restricted scroll without permission.
Secret Motivation: Pip is secretly writing his own book—a comprehensive guide to the "Tall Races" and their cultures. He hopes that his book will help the Muridae better understand the world outside their mist and prevent future conflicts.
Adventure Hook: Pip has accidentally mislabeled a dangerous, cursed scroll from the Necropolis of Oros, and it has been checked out by a young guardsman. He needs the party to track down the guardsman and recover the scroll before its dark magic is unleashed within Ardor.
