Agent Thorne

Agent Thorne
Agent Thorne is a highly capable operative of the Whispering Eye, currently embedded within the commercial hierarchy of The Shrouded Boughs. To most in Ardor, he is simply a diligent clerk working for Market-Master Pip, responsible for the filing of shipping manifests and the organization of the city's archives. In reality, he is the primary liaison between the Mousefolk and a clandestine network of spies on the Aethervale mainland.
Thorne is a master of blending in. He is unremarkable in appearance, possessing the bland, professional demeanor of someone who spent their entire life around ink and parchment. He is exceptionally skilled at gathering information without ever asking a direct question, often using his role in the market to observe the movements of both Muridae and outsiders.
Unlike Grit the Informant, who sells his information to anyone with coin, Thorne is a true believer in the "Eye’s" mission: to ensure that no single power in Aethervale gains a decisive advantage through the discovery of ancient aetheric secrets.
Secret Motivation: Thorne is secretly a distant cousin of Elder Thorne. He took the name "Thorne" as a cover, but he has since discovered that he actually shares a biological link with the Elder’s lineage. He is struggling with his loyalty to the Whispering Eye as he begins to realize the true importance of the Boughs to the world’s aetheric stability.
Adventure Hook: Agent Thorne has discovered that a high-ranking official from Steamfort has secretly landed in the Boughs and is meeting with a group of rogue Mist-Whiskers. He needs the party to infiltrate the meeting and discover what technology is being traded.
