Overview

"The Green Dream" is the whispered name for a terrifying and insidious threat slowly consuming the heart of the Elven Enclave. It is not an invasion of armies, but an invasion of the mind and spirit. The ancient, cunning Green Dragon known as Xylira has woven a subtle spell of domination that threatens to bring the entire elven society under her thrall.

The Manipulation of the World-Tree

Xylira, possessing intellect and patience far exceeding mortal comprehension, did not attack the Enclave's formidable wards directly. Instead, over centuries, she burrowed into the deep earth, her corrupting presence seeping into the roots of the sacred World-Tree—the spiritual anchor of the elven people.

Through the World-Tree's network, Xylira sends "The Green Dream," a pervasive, hallucinogenic influence that subtly alters the perceptions and desires of those deeply connected to the forest. The primary victim of this manipulation is the Elven Matriarch herself.

The Unfolding Crisis

Under the guise of divine visions and ancestral wisdom provided by the World-Tree, the Matriarch has begun enacting isolationist and xenophobic policies, slowly transforming the Enclave into a hostile, paranoid state. Xylira's ultimate goal is to use the elves as her personal, fanatical army, reshaping the forest into a toxic, draconian paradise.

The mystery deepens as a few dissenting elves—often druids or rangers who spend time at the fringes of the forest away from the Tree's direct influence—begin to realize the nature of the corruption. They must find a way to sever Xylira's connection to the World-Tree and cure the Matriarch's madness before the "Dream" becomes an irreversible nightmare, all without alerting the dragon to their discovery.
