...when the rivers of magic run black with ash, and the iron giants walk the earth, the sleepers shall awaken.

The Golden Weaver shall count his coins while the world burns, blind to the fire that approaches. The Emerald Dreamer shall choke on the smoke of her own illusions, her forests turning to cinder. The Cinder King shall rise from the depths, his breath a storm of magma and malice, leading the children of the flame to scour the lands.

But the true threat lies not in the fire, nor the iron, nor the magic. The true threat lies in the shadow that moves between them, the immortal who watches and waits, the one who carries the curse of the First Brood.

When the three crowns of magic, iron, and fire clash, the shadow will step into the light, and the final age shall begin. The Aether will shatter, and the world will be unmade, unless the blood of the Vanguard is spilled upon the shattered stone...
