Stonecunning.Whenever the Mole makes a Intelligence (History) check related to the origin of stonework, he is considered proficient in the History skill and adds double his proficiency bonus to the check.
Deep Inhabitant.The Mole has advantage on Dexterity (Stealth) checks while in rocky or underground terrain.

Actions

The Mole

Title: Hermit of the Deep Mines
Role: The Mole is a nameless dwarf who has lived in the deepest, most abandoned parts of the mines for decades. He is covered in thick fur and has eyes that have adapted to the darkness. He knows the "Old Ways" of the mines and claims to speak to the spirits of the mountain.

Secret Motivation: The Mole is a guardian of a "Draconic Seal" that prevents an ancient earth dragon from waking up. He has noticed that the seal is weakening due to the Syndicate’s aggressive mining. He is trying to "scare off" the miners with "ghostly" activity, but he knows he can't hold them off forever. He needs the party to help him reinforce the seal before it's too late.

Adventure Hook: The party is hired by the Syndicate to "investigate the haunting" of a new mine shaft. They meet the Mole, who tells them the true nature of the "haunting" and asks for their help.
