Guildmaster Orik

Title: Master of the Deep Mines
Role: Orik is a grizzled dwarf who has spent most of his life underground. He represents the interests of the thousands of miners who extract the raw Aether-crystals that power the city. He is a man of the people, known for his rough language and his unwavering commitment to the safety and fair treatment of his workers.

Secret Motivation: Orik has discovered a "Dragon-Graveyard" deep beneath the mines. Instead of reporting it, he has been secretly mining the ancient, fossilized bones, which possess incredible magical properties. He is using the proceeds to fund a "Worker’s Militia," preparing for the day when the Syndicate inevitably pushes the miners too far. He doesn't realize that the bones are "cursed" and are slowly driving his miners into a draconic frenzy.

Adventure Hook: Orik asks the party to help "clear out" a nest of giant spiders in a new mine shaft. The "spiders" are actually miners who have mutated due to the draconic energy of the bones.
