Scrits Alchemy

Located in the High-Command district of the Warren-Capital, Scrits Alchemy is the primary source of chemical and alchemical supplies for the Sub-Terran Accord. While it serves as the personal laboratory for High Priestess Scrit, she allows authorized personnel and "useful outsiders" to purchase her specialized concoctions.

The shop is carved directly into a naturally occurring geothermal vent, providing constant heat for the dozens of bubbling cauldrons and distilling units that line the walls. The ceiling is covered in a dense carpet of "Aether-Moss," which Scrit uses as a natural filter for the toxic fumes produced by her experiments.

Proprietor: High Priestess Scrit, though she is often seen "supervising" her assistants rather than serving customers directly. She is a demanding merchant who often requires "research samples" (rare minerals or creature parts) in addition to gold.

Specialized Inventory:

• Lava-Walk Potion: Grants resistance to fire damage and allows the user to walk on molten surfaces for 10 minutes.
• Pressure-Draft: A thick, foul-tasting liquid that protects the imbiber from the effects of extreme depth and pressure.
• Glow-Spore Dust: A fine powder that, when thrown, reveals invisible creatures and objects for 1 minute.
• Aether-Distillate: A highly concentrated form of Aether used to rapidly recharge magical items or constructs.

Atmosphere: The shop is oppressively hot and smells strongly of sulfur and fermented fungi. Scrit’s assistants—small, jittery kobolds in protective leather aprons—move with frantic energy, terrified of making a mistake in the presence of the High Priestess.
