The Drifter

Title: The Ghost of the Wastes
Role: A nameless human who wears a suit of tattered, ancient elven armor. He is a master of survival and has lived in the deepest parts of the Wastes for years. He rarely speaks and is often seen standing on a hilltop, staring out at the horizon. He is a legendary figure among scavengers, with many believing he is a ghost or a spirit of the Wastes.

Secret Motivation: The Drifter is actually a "Time-Lost" soldier from the War of Sunder. He was caught in a magical explosion that threw him 500 years into the future. He is trying to find a way back to his own time and is looking for a specific "Aether-Key" that was used to power the University’s temporal labs. He believes that the Obsidian Scale has found the key and is using it to summon the dragons from the past.

Adventure Hook: The Drifter approaches the party with a "Temporal-Beacon" that is starting to glow. He tells them that "the dragons are coming" and that they must help him find the Aether-Key before it's too late.
