Navigator Siff

Navigator Siff is a highly skilled and fiercely independent Mist-Whisker sailor based in Drift-Haven. A relative newcomer compared to Captain Squeak, Siff has quickly earned a reputation for being one of the only captains willing to sail her driftwood skiff, the Sea-Breeze, through the dangerous "Shattered Currents" of the outer archipelago. She is a wiry mouse with fur the color of sea-foam and a perpetual look of intense concentration.

Siff is a master of "Wave-Reading"—the art of interpreting the subtle patterns of the ocean’s surface to find hidden passages through the mangrove roots. She has little patience for the traditional rituals of the Mist-Weaver Coven, believing instead that a captain’s intuition and a well-maintained ship are all one needs to survive the Boughs. She is a frequent visitor to the Barnacle Market, where she trades rare deep-water minerals for high-quality sails and aether-oil.

Despite her somewhat aloof demeanor, Siff is deeply loyal to her crew and is known for her ability to stay calm even when her skiff is being pursued by a Mist-Stalker.

Ideals & Flaws

Secret Motivation: Siff is secretly a collector of ancient Elvish maps. She believes that a pre-flood elven outpost is hidden somewhere within the Boundary Ocean and is quietly searching for clues to its location, hoping it will contain technology that could help the Muridae truly master the sea.

Adventure Hook

Siff has discovered a series of unusual "Singing Stones" in a shallow reef that seem to be reacting to a distant aether-pulse. She needs a group of adventurers to help her investigate the stones and to defend her skiff from the Sea-Wolves who have been tracking her.
