Scavenged Chronometer

Scavenged Chronometer
Wondrous Item, rare (requires attunement by a character with proficiency in Tinker’s Tools or Investigation)
The Scavenged Chronometer is a rare and highly complex piece of technology inhabiting the archives of Thorne’s Library and the workshops of Master Wright Lira. It consists of a large, brass-bound clockwork mechanism that has been modified to use an Aether-Infused Acorn as its power source. Instead of tracking traditional hours, the chronometer is "tuned" to the rhythmic heartbeat of the Mother-Tree.
Properties
While holding or wearing this chronometer, you gain the following benefits:
1. Pulse-Tracking: You always know the exact time relative to the tree's internal cycle. This allows you to predict the "Tuning-Points" of the forest’s magical barrier with 100% accuracy.
2. Synchronized Action: Once per day, you can use a bonus action to synchronize your movements with the tree’s pulse. For the next 1 minute, your walking speed increases by 10 feet and you gain a +2 bonus to initiative.
3. Detect Stagnation: The chronometer’s gears will slow down or stop if it is brought within 30 feet of a localized aether-leak or an area of necrotic corruption (like a Ghost-Leaf drift).
4. Complex Maintenance: The chronometer is exceptionally delicate. If you take more than 20 damage from a single attack, you must succeed on a DC 13 Dexterity check or the device will malfunction, requiring 1 hour of work with Tinker's Tools to repair.
