Background & Objective
A massive swarm of Giant Mangrove Gulls has begun a coordinated raid on The Crown City of Ardor. The birds are unusually aggressive, targeting the city’s grain-silos and the Golden Hive. Grand Warden Hekka needs a group of elite defenders to man the Harpoon Batteries and push back the swarm while a team of rangers secures the beetle-mounts.
The Gimmick: Vertical Battlefield
The combat takes place across several vertical levels of the city's branches. Characters must use suspension bridges, bark-slides, and potentially Leaf-Kites to maneuver as the birds attack from all directions.
Tactical Combat & Challenges
- Defending fixed points (the grain-silos) from Huge-sized aerial attackers.
- Dealing with "Gull-Gusts"—wing-blasts that can knock characters off the branches.
- Coordination with Acorn Guard beetle-cavalry to drive the swarm away.
Narrative Outcomes & Loot
If successful, the city is saved and the party gains the permanent gratitude of the Acorn Guard. Rewards include Shell-Bucklers, Needle-Rapiers, and an invitation to a feast in the Hall of Winds.
