Sergeant Torin

Title: The Unbreakable Shield
Role: Torin is a dwarf who has been with the Vanguard for over fifty years. He is the company’s primary defensive specialist, responsible for training the heavy infantry. He is a man of immense strength and even greater endurance, having survived multiple encounters with sea monsters and giant raiders.

Secret Motivation: Torin is a secret member of the "Gilded Hand." He believes that the Vanguard should stop working for Steamfort and instead ally themselves with the Grand Arcane Bank. He has been "sabotaging" the company’s contracts with Steamfort, hoping to force Vane into a deal with Aurelius the Golden.

Adventure Hook: Torin asks the party to help him "recover" a shipment of Aether-Steel that was supposedly stolen by pirates. In reality, he wants them to deliver the steel to a Kigum agent.
