The Spire Of Inverted Grace

The Spire of Inverted Grace
The Floating Observatory
A needle-thin tower of white marble that survived the initial blast of the Mana Wastes, but was torn from the earth. It now floats 500 feet in the air, slowly rotating like a massive top.
Dungeon Layout: The Geometric Impossible
Inside the Spire, "up" and "down" are relative terms.
- The Entryway (The Vertical Garden): A lush garden where gravity pulls toward the outer walls. Visitors must walk along the circular walls to progress.
- The Grand Orrery: A massive room containing a model of the solar system. The planets are solid orbs that act as platforms. Gravity changes depending on which "planet" you are standing on.
- The Observatory Deck: The top of the tower, where gravity is entirely absent.
Traps and Hazards
- Gravity Wells: Small, shimmering spheres of dense Aether. If a creature comes within 10 feet, it is pulled in and takes 2d10 bludgeoning damage as it is crushed against the core. (DC 15 Strength to break free).
- Inversion Plates: Floor tiles that instantly reverse the gravity for anyone stepping on them, slamming them into the ceiling (20ft fall damage).
- Screaming Voids: Pockets of air that have been magically removed. Passing through one causes suffocation and 3d6 cold damage.
Puzzle: The Weightless Key
To open the door to the Grand Orrery, players must transport a 500lb "Gravity-Cube" from the base of the tower to a pressure plate on the ceiling of the third floor.
- The Twist: The cube is only "light" when it is within 5 feet of a "Null-Mana Torch."
- The Solution: Players must coordinate moving the torches across the gravity-shifted rooms to "hand off" the cube, essentially juggling its weight across the vertical layout.
Denizens: Gravity-Warped Horrors
- Gravity Stalkers: Mutated feline predators with elongated limbs and the ability to change their personal gravity at will. They often attack from the ceiling or mid-air.
- Orbital Sentinels: Small, metallic spheres that fire beams of concentrated gravity. On a hit, the target's weight is doubled, reducing their speed to 0.
- The Inverted One: A former High Mage of the Spire, now a twisted creature whose upper body is human but whose lower body is a swirling vortex of energy. He can cast "Reverse Gravity" as a legendary action.
