The Whispering Pine

The Whispering Pine is a unique and peaceful tavern grown directly from the branches of a massive, hollowed-out ancient pine tree. It is the social heart of the elven residents of Lemmion, a place where the bustle of the forest floor is replaced by the soft rustle of needles and the song of birds. The interior is a marvel of natural architecture, with furniture shaped from living wood and bioluminescent moss providing a soft, green light. No metal of any kind is allowed inside, and patrons are expected to speak in hushed tones.

The tavern is managed by Elara Moonwhisper (no relation to the noble house), an elven druid who has dedicated her life to the study of the forest's flora. The signature drink is Sylas’ Nectar, a sweet, flower-based wine that is said to have healing properties. The Whispering Pine is a place where elves come to share stories of the ancient woods, practice their nature-magic, and find a brief respite from the tensions of the Enclave's isolationism. It is also a known sanctuary for "Dream-Walkers," elves who specialize in navigating the ethereal planes of the forest.

Plot Hooks:

• The Silent Pine: The tavern's tree has suddenly stopped "whispering," causing deep distress to the regular patrons. The party must investigate the tree's health and find out if it has been poisoned or magically silenced.
• The Forbidden Metal: A visiting merchant from Steamfort has accidentally brought a small iron trinket into the tavern, causing the living furniture to become aggressive. The party must find the metal and remove it without harming the tavern.
• The Moonwhisper's Dream: Elara has had a vision of a "Blight-Tree" growing in the heart of the forest. she hires the party to find the tree and destroy it before its corruption spreads to The Whispering Pine.
