Pressure-Suit Mark IV

The Pressure-Suit Mark IV is the pinnacle of kobold "deep-dive" technology, designed specifically for the extreme conditions of The Sunken Junction and the toxic atmosphere of Sector Alpha-Steam. A bulky, copper-plated suit of powered armor, the Mark IV uses a miniaturized steam-engine mounted on the back to regulate internal pressure and provide a steady supply of breathable air.

The suit is recognizable by its large, circular Aether-glass visor and the series of glowing valves and gauges that adorn its chest plate. Despite its cumbersome appearance, the suit's joints are assisted by pneumatic pistons, allowing the wearer to move with surprising agility even under the weight of the ocean's depths.

Functionality: The suit's internal systems are powered by a "High-Density Steam Cartridge," which provides 24 hours of continuous operation. The cartridge can be refilled at any Deep-Strand recharge station or by using a Portable Aether-Siphon. In addition to pressure resistance, the suit's thick plating offers excellent protection against the crushing blows of deep-sea leviathans.

Usage: Originally developed for "Trench-Scouts" performing maintenance on the exterior of the Abyssal domes, the Mark IV has since been adopted by elite Accord units for missions into the most hazardous corners of the subterranean world. It is a prized possession among kobold engineers, often passed down from master to apprentice.
