High Priest Thoradin

High Priest Thoradin
Title: Voice of the Stone-Father
Role: Thoradin is the head of the religious life in Dal-Dur. He leads the worship of the Stone-Father, the dwarven creator deity. He is a man of deep faith and great kindness, often seen walking the lower levels of the city, offering comfort to the miners and their families. He believes that the dwarves’ survival is a testament to their god’s favor.
Secret Motivation: Thoradin has been receiving "divine visions" that he believes are from the Stone-Father. In reality, the visions are being sent by the Ancient Gold Dragon Aurelius, who is trying to use the dwarven faith to maintain stability in the region. Thoradin is beginning to suspect that his "god" is more interested in global economics than dwarven souls, and he is going through a crisis of faith.
Adventure Hook: Thoradin asks the party to help him "interpret" a specific vision that showed a "Golden Dragon sitting on the Stone Throne." He wants them to investigate the ancient records of the priesthood to see if there is any precedent for such a thing.
