The Doomsday Vault is Grand Warren-Master Zik-Zik’s ultimate masterpiece and his most guarded secret. Buried four miles beneath the eternal ice of the northern pole, it is a massive, self-sustaining repository designed to survive any surface-world cataclysm—be it a draconic awakening, an Aether-collapse, or a total Void breach.

The vault is not just a bunker; it is a library of the world. Thousands of miles of micro-etched Aether-glass plates contain the entire history, science, and genealogy of Aethervale. It also houses a biological "Seed Bank" of every known plant and a stasis-chamber for a small, genetically diverse population of kobolds.

Defenses

The vault is protected by "Passive-Silent" wards that do not draw from the global Aether currents, making it invisible to the magical detection methods used by Kigum. Physical access requires the World-Key and a simultaneous retinal scan from three different Warren-Masters.

Secret Motivation: Zik-Zik believes the surface world has less than 50 years of "optimized stability" remaining. He is currently diverting 5% of all smuggled Aether from the Deep-Strands to power the vault’s eternal life-support systems.
